About Our Hybrid Model:
As you know, the Covid-19 pandemic has brought about a number of changes to business as usual. At this point, no one can say exactly what the next year will bring our way. However, we are committed to providing continuity to this yogic community in the face of change and uncertainty. To this end, we will be piloting a flexible model that will likely move between Zoom platform and in-person classes in response to changing circumstances. As of June 14th, we will open all our summer classes online, in keeping with the New York State guideline on re-opening. After June 26th, we will re-evaluate based on the Health Departments recommendations for our industry. If we can open up some of our classes safely at that point, we will do so with new social distancing and sanitation practices. A purchase of a summer pass gives you access to either form of class, depending on what is offered. You'll notice that our classes have different themes this summer to accommodate a wide range of interests, abilities and access to props. Most of our classes are available through the summer pass system, but special offerings are marked in red to indicate a different pricing system.

Standard Format Classes
June 14-August 14
Sundays w/Rebecca, 6:00 pm-7:30 pm
Mondays w/Rebecca, 10:00 am-11:30 am
Thursdays w/Sam, 5:30 pm-7:00 pm
Fridays w/Rebecca, 5:00 pm-6:30 pm
A “Standard” format class is what you are used to from Svaroopa® Yoga: an opening and closing shavasana with Guided Awareness, ujjayi pranayama and a sequence of poses designed to open your spine from top to bottom. Props required include enough blankets for a seated side stretch, a folding chair, a strap, a wall and blocks (or the equivalent amount of hard back books). If you do not have any of the above, please email your instructor in advance of your class to brainstorm some alternatives. The first half of the summer will focus on lower spinal release, while the second half focuses on upper spinal release. These classes may be available on a drop-in basis depending on space, but students who purchase a summer pass have priority.

Get Up, Dive-In and Go!
June 15-August 10
Mondays, 8:00 am-9:30 am w/Rebecca
Ever wished that you could have an instructor hold the space for your morning practice before you head into your day? Or have both yoga and meditation in a single class? Or maybe practice Svaroopa® Yoga and then be prepared to head right out into the world with more energy and focus? If any of those things speak to you, then this class is for you. We will begin in shavasana with a guided awareness and ujjayi pranayama. Then we will move through a spinal sequence and abdominal activators. We will enjoy a sweet, seated meditation, followed by a standing closure. You will leave ready to move right into your busy day with more clarity, ease and focus.
Note: There is no second shavasana in this class. This class is only offered through the summer pass program. It is not available for drop-in students.
Required props include your meditation journal, or a piece of paper and pen, enough blankets for a seated side stretch, a folding chair, a strap, a wall and blocks (or the equivalent amount of hard back books).
