Yoga for Your Joints
Saturday, July 11, 9:30 am-12:00 pm
Gain freedom of movement with the Pawanmuktasana series, a vinyasa (or sequence of flowing poses) that moves every joint in the body in every possible direction. The result is increased mobility and a greater sense of ease in the body. Suitable for all levels of yoga experience and most fitness levels. Pre-registration is suggested by July 3rd.
Props required: blocks (or their equivalent) and enough blankets for seated side stretch.
Cost: $40 (some summer passes include participation)
Stand with Surety and Ease
Saturday, August 8, 9:30 am-12:30 pm
These challenging times are asking us to stand in new ways: to stand in uncertainty, to stand up against injustice and to continue standing up when things are persistently hard. This workshop will help you do just that. Standing poses help us develop strength and stamina, hold our center in the midst of change or chaos and stand up for ourselves and others. But they can also tighten us up, if we are not careful. Learn how to lean into your bones more fully and find greater ease in the standing posture. When you find more ease as you stand, you can find more ease as you move through the world. Pre-registration suggested by August 1.
Props required: folding chair, strap, a wall and blocks (or their equivalent).
Cost: $45 (some summer passes include participation)
